This has long been the rallying cry of the evangelical right. They convince their followers that they are under attack to create a sense of fear and urgency to bind them together.
It doesn’t actually have to do with a push to eradicate white supremacy, at least not directly. This is what they’ve been preaching to them in Sunday school since at least the 90’s. It’s like religious doomsday prepping. The backlash against white supremacy is just the latest boogie man.

I’m glad I’m not the only one to notice this but what Christians (and WAY too many religious people, whatever the flavour) don’t seem to understand is that no one, NO ONE, gives a fuck about what religion they practice UNTIL said religious person starts trying to force their religion/religious beliefs onto others.
IMO, it’s a willful ignorance, one religion *specifically* fosters in people to help keep them in the cults.
